The present Mentorship Model and the corresponding online mentorship space are the tools to guide both older and younger employees to be able to have means for multigenerational interconnection, and exchange of information as well as acquisition of new skills and good practices and provision of feedback based on reverse age mentoring.
Guided by the present manual, companies can pair younger workers with older workers to provide mentoring on new technologies, like social media, and to share insights on the market for younger colleagues. This can build relationships across generations and result in a “mutual mentoring”, where younger workers mentor older workers, while older workers also mentor younger workers in areas of expertise.
